Biaxin is used for
patients who have tonsillitis, infection in the nose, sinusitis,
chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, or some skin infections. It can also
be used to prevent infections such as MAC, and is sometimes used
with other medications to treat peptic ulcers.

Directions
It is recommended that this medicine be taken with food at regular intervals and
until it is all gone.
Storage
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of
reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and
moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no
longer needed.
Miss a dose
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose,
skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
Precautions
You should use this medicine with caution if you have kidney or liver disease,
or a known allergy to erythromycin, clarithromycin or azithromycin.
Side effects
Side effects: abnormal taste, headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain. This
medicine is generally well-tolerated.
Notes
DO NOT share this medicine with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT
use this medicine for other health conditions. Keep this product out of the
reach of children. If using this medicine for an extended period of time, obtain
refills before your supply runs out.
