Altace

(Generic Name: Altace / Ramipril)

Directions

Take Altace capsules by mouth. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Swallow the capsules with a drink of water. Take your doses at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Do not stop taking Altace except on your prescriber's advice.

Storage

STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.

Miss a dose

Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.

Precautions

There is a possibility of sun sensitivity from this medication, so you may need to wear protective clothing or use sunscreens until you are sure. Also, blood pressure drugs can cause drowsiness or dizziness when you first begin taking them, so you should NOT drive or use dangerous tools and machinery unless you know how you react to the medicine.
